When electric vehicles started arriving in Hamilton, we didn’t treat them as someone else’s problem. Andrew, our owner, grew up around electronics — modifying technology and figuring out how to make things work — so going EV-focused was a natural fit and a challenge we wanted. Four years of hands-on high-voltage work later, EVs aren’t a novelty here — they’re part of what we do every day.
Focusing on this niche is what lets us be the experts, not dabblers. Our head technician, Jeff, has completed all five levels of EV training through NexDrive, and together we’ve worked through the factory software, coding, pack balancing and resealing that these repairs demand.
Where it helps, we offer alternative repairs to traditional dealer methods — fixing a cell module instead of condemning a whole pack, or servicing a bushing instead of replacing an entire steering knuckle. It’s often the difference between a repair that makes sense and one that doesn’t.

Tesla services we perform
From high-voltage battery work to drive units, cooling and power electronics — plus the routine maintenance that keeps a Tesla healthy. Here’s what we handle in-house.
High-Voltage Battery
- Full battery replacement — Complete high-voltage battery pack replacement when a pack is beyond repair, restoring range and reliable operation.
- Battery repair — Module- and section-level HV battery repair to address failed cells and faults without replacing the entire pack where possible.
- Battery replacement with LFP conversion — Pack replacement including conversion from lithium-ion to LFP — a chemistry that handles daily charging well and holds up over time.
- Isolation fault diagnosis — Locating and repairing high-voltage isolation faults — a common cause of warning lights and reduced-power conditions.
- 12V battery replacement — Low-voltage (12V) battery testing and replacement — the battery that wakes the car and runs its electronics.
Drive & Powertrain
- Drive motor replacement — Removal and replacement of front or rear drive units to resolve noise, vibration, or a failed motor.
- Drive motor coolant delete — Drive motor coolant delete performed on applicable units, done to spec with the appropriate follow-up checks.
Thermal & Cooling
- Superbottle replacement — Replacement of the superbottle — the integrated coolant reservoir, pumps and valve assembly that circulates coolant through the battery and drive unit.
- Super manifold replacement — Replacement of the super manifold, the coolant and refrigerant control assembly at the heart of the heat pump system on newer Teslas.
- Compressor replacement — Heat pump / A/C compressor replacement to restore cabin heating and cooling and keep the battery within its proper temperature range.
- Radiator cleaning — Clearing road debris, bugs and buildup from the front radiator to restore airflow and keep the battery and drivetrain properly cooled.
Charging & Power Electronics
- Charger replacement — Onboard charger diagnosis and replacement to restore reliable AC charging at home and on the road.
- Inverter replacement — Inverter testing and replacement to correct power-delivery faults and related drive warnings.
- Fuses — High- and low-voltage fuse diagnosis and replacement, including the pyro fuse where equipped.
Lighting & Chassis
- Headlight replacement — Headlight assembly replacement to restore full, properly aimed lighting and clear night visibility.
- Wheel bearings & hubs — Wheel bearing and hub replacement to eliminate humming, roughness, and play — important given an EV’s weight and torque.
Maintenance & Inspection
- Drive unit oil change (gearbox) — Drive unit / gearbox oil change with new filter, oil and pump seals — recommended service that keeps the drive unit running quiet and protected.
- Brake service & fluid flush — Caliper clean and lubrication, pad and rotor service, and brake fluid flush. Because regen braking barely uses the friction brakes, they can seize and corrode without regular attention.
- Cabin air filter replacement — Cabin air filter replacement, including HEPA-equipped systems, for clean airflow and effective heating and cooling.
- A/C desiccant bag service — A/C desiccant bag replacement on Tesla’s recommended schedule to keep the air conditioning system efficient and protected.
- Tire rotation & balance — Tire rotation and balancing to even out the faster wear EVs see from their added weight and instant torque.
- Multi-point EV inspection — Multi-point inspection with a battery health check, so you know the condition of the pack, brakes, tires and suspension.
The high-voltage work others send away
Most shops can rotate the tires but stop at the orange cables. We don’t. Our EV focus means the specialty Tesla jobs are handled here, by technicians trained in high-voltage safety — with clear communication the whole way through.

Porsche Taycan — HV battery: two cell modules instead of a whole pack
A Taycan came to us after a local dealer quoted around $30,000 — and the car had been unable to drive for months. This was our first big dip into high-voltage repair, and instead of condemning the entire pack, Jeff and Andrew diagnosed it down to the cell-module level. Two cell-module replacements, working through factory software and coding, balancing the pack, fresh thermal paste on the modules and a proper reseal. The Taycan drove away from our shop — and it’s still running and driving to this day.
2019 Model 3 — LFP conversion: lithium-ion out, LFP in
A 2019 Standard Range Model 3 needed a new battery. Rather than a like-for-like lithium-ion replacement, we converted it to a brand-new LFP pack — a chemistry that’s better suited to daily charging and holds up well over time. Back on the road for $9,495, with a fresh pack showing a state of health above 90%.
